^Lot 721 Third Reich Army Officer's Dagger.

"Das Heer" Army Officer's Dagger, produced by the rare desirable Solingen-based firm Ernst Pack & Söhne, M.B.H. Waffenfabrik. The plated aluminum pommel has a nice aged patina throughout, and the standing oak leaves and acorns are crisply detailed and have good backgrounds.The plated aluminum crossguard is in similar condition, with a lovely dark patina, with oxidized accents. The details throughout the characteristic eagle are exceptional throughout the head, breast and wing feathering, talons and wreathed mobile swastika. The grip ferrule is also adorned with acorns & oak leaves. The celluloid grip is a nice orange color, no damage. The blade is excellent/bright, scabbard is near excellent with a very slight dent towards the bottom. Comes with correct hangers marked "D.R.G.M., very good overall with some fraying. correct, original Portepee/knot attached, very good condition with a little fraying to the neck. Leather washer in place.
